Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter is an ice cream piece made to reflect on the idea of communication with each other and our surroundings through the language of taste. The most complex and intimate relationship which most of us can have with the natural environment is to eat it. In this piece ice cream is employed as media to convey the tastes of common weeds found around the city. The guests were offered to taste sorrel sorbet, dandelion root ice cream and sweet cicely ice cream. All weeds were foraged in the greater area of Reykjavik, where the show took place.
